Community Outreach

The following are charitable programs in which Rising Sun #115 participates:


- Illinois Child Identification Program

Coins for Children
- A program that provides matching funds to individual Masonic lodges that sponsor or participate in worthwhile youth activities.

Masonic Children's Homes
 - A modern residential complex in LaGrange that provides complete care for children in need, regardless of color, creed or Masonic affiliation. A second Children's Home is being built at Murphysboro which will extend the reach of this valuable resource to more children in the state.

Illinois Masonic Homes at Sullivan
 - A facility in a rural Illinois setting that attends to all living and medical needs of the elderly with a variety of levels of support.

Student Assistance Program
- A program that, through its Student Assistance Programs, works with teams of Illinois educators to help at-risk students.

National Masonic Foundation for Children
- A nonprofit 501(c)(3) charitable organization, The Illinois Masonic Foundation Student Assistance Program has been providing high quality Student Assistance Program Training to educators in Illinois since 1990. Over 10,000 teachers have been trained, 450 schools served, and thousands of students helped through SAP teams and the charitable commitment of Illinois Masons.
